Developed to make the LASIK laser eye surgery procedure even more effective, Wavefront allows for a complete, personalized measurement of the entire visual system, including the eye's shape, lens shape, corneal shape, depth of the eye, and the most accurate identification possible of anatomic anomalies that could cause vision conditions such as impaired night vision or the presence of halos. After each eye is evaluated, the computer designs a personalized LASIK surgical plan for the patient, and the surgeon loads that plan directly into the computer of our VISX Star 4 laser. Thanks to Wavefront, this highly accurate, FDA-approved laser can correct all or most vision problems identified in the plan with one LASIK treatment, whereas traditional LASIK laser eye surgery is a bit more limited in the number of refractive errors it can simultaneously correct.

Pre-operative Examination No matter what type of laser eye surgery you choose, you will first need to have a pre-operative exam to verify that you are a good candidate for laser vision correction. This exam should include the following : A glaucoma test

You must make appointments with your local eye care professional for your follow up. Make appointments with your doctor at home 1 week, one month and 3 months after your surgery date. You will need to provide our clinic with the name of your eye care professional. There are generally no restrictions on eating or taking medications before or on your surgery date, however; please advise us of any medications you are taking.  Have your passport and airline tickets ready for your trip.

You will probably feel nervous, anxious, or excited today.  Don’t worry this is normal for evyerone.
Arrive at least one hour before your scheduled procedure.
Do not wear perfume or cologne, or use any hair products that contain alchohol such as hair spray or Musse.
Wear warm clothing as the operating room is quite cool
We will arrange for your transportation to and from the clinic on this day.
It is best to avoid alchohol 24 hours prior to your surgery.
The Lasik procedure is a brief painless procedure.
No sedative is administered.
No drops will be put in your eye until you are already on the surgical bed under the mircroscope.
The whole process takes 3 to 4 minutes for each eye.
After both eyes are treated, you will be taken to the post operative room
Your vision will be blurred on that day.
The discomort that you feel will improve with time.
Post-Operative Care

Please make sure to wear the special sunglasses we provide. 
You are requirted to return to our clinic within 24 hours after your surgery, for your fist mandatory post operative examination.   Your appointement time will be given to you immediately after your surgery. 
When you return home you will need to visit, your eye care professional 3 more times. At one week, one month and 3 months from the day of your laser surgery. If you had PRK you will require 2 more visits after 6 months and one year.
